Aung San Suu Kyi, leader of the opposition National League for Democracy in Myanmar, had a significant meeting with Man Hee Lee, the honorary chairman of MANNAM in Gwang-ju, South,Korea.
On 30th, Jan in 2013, Aung San Suu Kyi arrived at Gwang-ju airport at 7pm and moved directly to Holiday-in Hotel and had a meeting with the honorary chairman, Man Hee Lee with warm welcoming. Especially both are such peace leaders for the whole world.
Aung San Suu Kyi has been detained in custody for 10 of the past 16 years whereas she holds to peaceful struggle with no violence. She won in 1991, was under house arrest and prohibited from traveling to Norway to accept her Prize. Finally she could give an acceptance speech in 21 years after many years of detention, release, house arrest.
Gwang-ju Human Rights award chose her while she was under house arrest. She couldn't visit South Korea for the prize either.
She got free from the house arrest in 2010, she visited Gwang-ju to confer an honorary citizenship of Gwang-ju and won a medal of Gwang-ju Human Rights hosted by Gwang-ju city and 5.18 the Commemorative Foundation.
Man Hee Lee, the honorary chairman of MANNAM has met leaders of Europe, the Americas, Africa for the long-cherished desire of world peace and restoration of light. The leaders who met Man Hee Lee, have empathized with his idea for world peace and promised to join the team to cooperated in harmony.
