Mother Teresa had first been recognised by the Indian government more than a third of a century earlier when she was awarded the Padma Shri in 1962 and the Jawaharlal Nehru Award for International Understanding in 1969.
She continued to receive major Indian awards in subsequent years, including India's highest civilian award, the Bharat Ratna, in 1980.
Her official biography was written by an Indian civil servant, Navin Chawla, and published in 1992.

On 28 August 2010, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of her birth, the government of India issued a special 5 Rupee coin, being the sum she first arrived in India with.
President Pratibha Patil said of Mother Teresa, "Clad in a white sari with a blue border, she and the sisters of Missionaries of Charity became a symbol of hope to many – the aged, the destitute, the unemployed, the diseased, the terminally ill, and those abandoned by their families.

Indian views on Mother Teresa were not uniformly favourable.
Her critic Aroup Chatterjee, who was born and raised in Calcutta but lived in London, reports that "she was not a significant entity in Calcutta in her lifetime".
Chatterjee blames Mother Teresa for promoting a negative image of Calcutta, exaggerating the work done by her Mission, and misusing the funds and privileges at her disposal.
Her presence and profile grated in parts of the Indian political world, as she often opposed the Hindu Right.
The Bharatiya Janata Party clashed with her over the Christian Dalits, but praised her in death, sending a representative to her funeral.
The Vishwa Hindu Parishad, on the other hand, opposed the government's decision to grant her a state funeral.
Its secretary Giriraj Kishore said that "her first duty was to the Church and social service was incidental" and accused her of favouring Christians and conducting "secret baptisms" of the dying.
But, in its front page tribute, the Indian fortnightly Frontline dismissed these charges as "patently false" and said that they had "made no impact on the public perception of her work, especially in Calcutta".
Although praising her "selfless caring", energy and bravery, the author of the tribute was critical of Mother Teresa's public campaigning against abortion and that she claimed to be non-political when doing so.

This is actaully my problem.
I get to quick judge sometimes and I hate this.
As soon as I judge others, I feel I am doing it and that makes me feel so bad.

I know, I do this so easily then others do to me way easier that I make lots of mistakes!!!!!!!!! Oh, my!!

Benjamin Franklin (January 17, 1706 [O.S. January 6, 1705][Note 1][Note 2] – April 17, 1790) was one of the Founding Fathers of the United States. A noted polymath, Franklin was a leading author, printer, political theorist, politician, postmaster, scientist, musician, inventor, satirist, civic activist, statesman, and diplomat. As a scientist, he was a major figure in the American Enlightenment and the history of physics for his discoveries and theories regarding electricity. He invented the lightning rod, bifocals, the Franklin stove, a carriage odometer, and the glass 'armonica'. He facilitated many civic organizations, including a fire department and a university.

Franklin earned the title of "The First American" for his early and indefatigable campaigning for colonial unity; as an author and spokesman in London for several colonies, then as the first United States Ambassador to France, he exemplified the emerging American nation. Franklin, always proud of his working class roots, became a successful newspaper editor and printer in Philadelphia, the leading city in the colonies. He was also partners with William Goddard and Joseph Galloway the three of whom published the Pennsylvania Chronicle, a newspaper that was known for its revolutionary sentiments and criticisms of the British monarchy in the American colonies. He became wealthy publishing Poor Richard's Almanack and The Pennsylvania Gazette.

Franklin gained international renown as a scientist for his famous experiments in electricity and for his many inventions, especially the lightning rod. He played a major role in establishing the University of Pennsylvania and was elected the first president of the American Philosophical Society. Franklin became a national hero in America when he spearheaded the effort to have Parliament repeal the unpopular Stamp Act. An accomplished diplomat, he was widely admired among the French as American minister to Paris and was a major figure in the development of positive Franco-American relations.
For many years he was the British postmaster for the colonies, which enabled him to set up the first national communications network. He was active in community affairs, colonial and state politics, as well as national and international affairs. From 1785 to 1788, he served as governor of Pennsylvania. Toward the end of his life, he freed his slaves and became one of the most prominent abolitionists.

His colorful life and legacy of scientific and political achievement, and status as one of America's most influential Founding Fathers, have seen Franklin honored on coinage and money; warships; the names of many towns, counties, educational institutions, namesakes, and companies; and more than two centuries after his death, countless cultural references

Hi folks!
I am glad we have met each other via this blog (dosen't matter I only talk, you don't write any comments, still you can think about my idea for a bit, which I want to call ,a bit of communication).

I should be honest with you guys, I didn't really know about what has happened to the world, REALLY.
I was a kind of hearing some news like 911, Gulf war...something very obvious.
I can say I was absolutely ignorant of the world(OH MY!).

Though I could have a chance to see the different side of the world from what I had known.
I started to visit BBC News website and got shocked by a large number of tragedies such as natural disasters, terrors and etc.
I still remember the time I was talking about world peace with one of my friends who is from USA, he never imagines world can have peace.
I was sad but had not much to give back him, something special could affect his opinion about it.

But MANNAM.
Indeed I have been learning how world peace has been achieved by beautiful people.
Through MANNAM, I've slightly got connected with all the international people as friends.
I started to get exposed to a variety of new ideas, events, culture, history and etc.
MANNAM has affected me so much with such positive energy, so I don't think world peace won't be happening which many people have a view like this.

Let's give it a try.
A person is a bit but 2 people can communicate.
More people can really change the world.

You can't keep your eyes off this adorable movie.

Molly Mahoney is the awkward and insecure manager of Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium, the strangest, most fantastic, most wonderful toy store in the world. But when Mr. Magorium, the 243 year-old eccentric who owns the store, bequeaths the store to her, a dark and ominous change begins to take over the once remarkable Emporium.

But, there is lovely Molly who will take care of the rest of the day for the Emporium as Mr. Magorium's asked. At the first, she wasnt confident of herself to carry out what she need to do for the emporium. She was about to sell it to hold back the hurt she got from the fact she is not able to have Mr. Magorium any more. Eric and Henry who love their friend, Molly, want her to keep it for her and themselves....

This movie talks about Friendship and Eternity(briefly).

If we can be friends all together, there wouldn't be any war.

Friendship is a different type of LOVE.

If we can keep this type of LOVE through all the leaders then world will be changed.

It could be heard too innocent, I'd love to be innocent about Friendship.

It does last in your heart for good, right?

Introduction of MANNAM volunteer association

MANNAM was originally established within the Gangnam district with 700 members and currently has 70,000 members.MANNAM Volunteer Association has been working as a steady hidden light in Korea, the land that does not forget kindness and grace.
Not only within Korea but also internationally, MANNAM has been able to shed this light through its branches abroad.
On June 6th MANNAM's branches united to hold the fastival for the 54th Memorial day of Korea in 2009.
This festival, The 1st National Patriotic Citisens'  festival "Love for the Taegguk(Korea Flag), Love for Mugunghwa(Rose of Sharon)" went beyond the borders of district volunteer work to become an acknowledged association in holding national festivals and a light to the world.
This festival without parallel gave an opportunity for 54 volunteer organizations within Korea and internationally to unite to beome the greatest and purest private association.
Each of the district branches came together with patriotic hearts to hold a total number of four national civilian festivals.
These district branches also take on various volunteer activities.
MANNAM volunteers have worked on the foundation of self-support and pure volunteer work.
Beyond love for the districts the nation and the world, MANNAM will extend its efforts to set a new path for volunteer work.

The boy knew about PEACE

Boy killed in Boston blast wrote, 'No more hurting people'

I am so sorry for this kid who was actually working out for PEACE.

It shows us we need actually really peace in our lives.

Peace isn't a word is seen only in fairy tales..

We've got to have it in our real lives.

I offer my condolences for the loss of this beloved kid.

And I can do something for peace now.

How to start for PEACE

North Korea and How to reach out the world peace in South Korea.

Two countries are at war at the moment in 2013. 
Guess which countries I am talking about. South, Korea and North, Korea are during the war getting such attention from more overseas and less local residents.

As I stay inside of the actual performance place, South Korea, I see how some foreigners get frustrated and many of Korean residents switch it off. 
What is really happening here? 
While I keep considering about it and laughing about it, such a question pops out in my mind. 
Why are they at war? Who invented war? What is war?

I go to Wikipedia to get definition of war. 
I read all the description which could be ambiguous, doesn't really help me either, and realize I am actually just reading it without knowing. 

The idea of war in my mind reaches out the opposite of war, PEACE. 
Am I able to get peace? 
Peace is a word everyone seems to desire it by. 
Then what is peace? Can I find peace in the world hopefully?

Or one step further, can I produce peace not only in my life but also in the world?
If I am a person who chases for peace, what can I do for it? 
So many questions mingle in my brain, I find some ways to let me get into peace by a practical and amazing volunteer organization, MANNAM.

I see the slogan on the top of my laptop screen, 'Light meets light, there is Victory'. 
I think 'Wow, that's very poetic'. 
Then I check out what they have done, been doing and will do for the world peace. 
I slightly get to know that this organization is different from others. 

Well, good start.
