MANNAM Peace Quote: For peace, love and serve one (at a time)

Today I want to share an inspiring quote by Mother Teresa:

“I never look at the masses as my responsibility; I look at the individual. I can only love one person at a time - just one, one, one. So you begin. I began - I picked up one person. Maybe if I didn't pick up that one person, I wouldn't have picked up forty-two thousand....The same thing goes for you, the same thing in your family, the same thing in your church, your community. Just begin - one, one, one.”

If looking at all the people in the world that need help overwhelms you, don't focus on that. Help one person today. In a few months, you might be surprised by the difference you have made.

MANNAM : Word has peace and touches people's heart : Martin Luther King Jr

Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that.
Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that.

Martin Luther King Jr

from A Testament of Hope: The Essential Writings and Speeches

Martin Luther King Jr'sEarly life and education

Martin Luther King, Jr. was born on January 15, 1929, in Atlanta, Georgia, to Reverend Martin Luther King, Sr. and Alberta Williams King. His legal name at birth was "Michael King". King's father was also born Michael King. The father “changed” both names on his own during a 1934 trip to Nazi Germany to attend the Fifth Baptist World Alliance Congress in Berlin. It was during this time he chose to be called Martin Luther King in honor of the great German reformer Martin Luther.

Martin, Jr., was a middle child, between an older sister, Willie Christine King, and a younger brother, Alfred Daniel Williams King. King sang with his church choir at the 1939 Atlanta premiere of the movie Gone with the Wind.
King was originally skeptical of many of Christianity's claims. At the age of thirteen, he denied the bodily resurrection of Jesus during Sunday school. From this point, he stated, "doubts began to spring forth unrelentingly". However, he later concluded that the Bible has "many profound truths which one cannot escape" and decided to enter the seminary.
Growing up in Atlanta, King attended Booker T. Washington High School. A precocious student, he skipped both the ninth and the twelfth grades and entered Morehouse College at age fifteen without formally graduating from high school. In 1948, he graduated from Morehouse with a B.A. degree in sociology, and enrolled in Crozer Theological Seminary in Chester, Pennsylvania, from which he graduated with a B.Div. degree in 1951. King married Coretta Scott, on June 18, 1953, on the lawn of her parents' house in her hometown of Heiberger, Alabama. They became the parents of four children: Yolanda King, Martin Luther King III, Dexter Scott King, and Bernice King.

King became pastor of the Dexter Avenue Baptist Church in Montgomery, Alabama, when he was twenty-five years old, in 1954. King then began doctoral studies in systematic theology at Boston University and received his Ph.D. degree on June 5, 1955, with a dissertation on "A Comparison of the Conceptions of God in the Thinking of Paul Tillich and Henry Nelson Wieman". An academic inquiry concluded in October 1991 that portions of his dissertation had been plagiarized and he had acted improperly, but that his dissertation still "makes an intelligent contribution to scholarship"; the committee recommended that his degree not be revoked.

All the world is made of faith, and trust, and pixie dust
-J.M.Berrie-

from Wikipedia

Sir James Matthew Barrie, 1st Baronet, OM (9 May 1860 – 19 June 1937) was a Scottish author and dramatist, best remembered today as the creator of Peter Pan. The child of a family of small-town weavers, he was educated in Scotland. He moved to London, where he developed a career as a novelist and playwright. There he met the Llewelyn Davies boys who inspired him in writing about a baby boy who has magical adventures in Kensington Gardens (included in The Little White Bird), then to write Peter Pan, or The Boy Who Wouldn't Grow Up, a "fairy play" about this ageless boy and an ordinary girl named Wendy who have adventures in the fantasy setting of Neverland. This play quickly overshadowed his previous work and although he continued to write successfully, it became his best-known work, credited with popularising the name Wendy, which was very uncommon previously.
Barrie unofficially adopted the Davies boys following the deaths of their parents.
Barrie was made a baronet by George V in 1913, and a member of the Order of Merit in 1922. Before his death, he gave the rights to the Peter Pan works to London's Great Ormond Street Hospital, which continues to benefit from them.

The earth has music for those who listen

William Shakespeare

Truly the earth does that!
What I have found through my short life is the earth looks like people a lot.
Show you care the earth, act like you love the earth, long for peace upon the earth, be faithful to the earth and people who live on this small planet.

Hi, my name is Eric. This is the start!

How lovely you are, Natalie Portman.

Full of imagination and endearing people!
It is indeed an wonder land!:)
You can't keep your eyes off this adorable movie.

Molly Mahoney is the awkward and insecure manager of Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium, the strangest, most fantastic, most wonderful toy store in the world. But when Mr. Magorium, the 243 year-old eccentric who owns the store, bequeaths the store to her, a dark and ominous change begins to take over the once remarkable Emporium.

But, there is lovely Molly who will take care of the rest of the day for the Emporium as Mr. Magorium's asked. At the first, she wasnt confident of herself to carry out what she need to do for the emporium. She was about to sell it to hold back the hurt she got from the fact she is not able to have Mr. Magorium any more. Eric and Henry who love their friend, Molly, want her to keep it for her and themselves....

This movie talks about Friendship and Eternity(briefly).
If we can be friends all together, there wouldn't be any war.

Friendship is a different type of LOVE.
If we can keep this type of LOVE through all the leaders then world will be changed.
It could be heard too innocent, I'd love to be innocent about Friendship.
It does last in your heart for good, right?
Smile!:)

MANNAM love & peace : Definition of Love??

Nothing But Ghosts, Nichts Als Gespenster, 2006

Based on stories by best-selling author Judith Hermann, "Nothing But Ghosts" is directed by Martin Gypkens, who won the Director's Advancement Prize at the Max Ophüls Festival for his debut feature "Wir" in 2003.

Five stories, five journeys: a dozen Generation X'ers traveling somewhere to find something - what they've been longing for, or perhaps what they fear... In the American Southwest, one couple comes to realize that their relationship has become as arid as the desert they're crossing.

I'd like to let you guys think about love which can be said 'Relationship' between couples.
They must have loved each other but you can't tell they look happy enough being together.

What is LOVE?
That has been being 'the' question in my nowadays.
A guy and a girl meet somehow and get interested in each other and fall in love....and?
Go get married, have adorable kids and have a lovely family..
Or get tired of each other's different needs, get to ruin their 'relationship and finish it... over.

What is LOVE?
People say 'I love you so much, you are only the one who I love and adore forever' easily..or insensitively.
Can I love someone really?
Really can I love the person?
It can be cheesy to be heard or too serious to get it, have a seat with a cup of coffee and let me know what you think about it.

Let's share lovely ideas for getting to know LOVE.
When we think of one specific warm idea, you would smile quietly.
:)
